High-Performance Louvres for Service and Plant Areas

The UNSW Biomedical Sciences Centre in Wagga Wagga is a purpose-built facility supporting modern medical education in the Riverina region. Designed to allow students to complete their clinical studies locally, the centre combines flexible learning spaces with specialised laboratories and collaborative areas.

To enhance both performance and durability, Louvreclad supplied and installed high-performance louvre systems across the facility. Ellenborough Series® Chevron Louvres and integrated doors create continuous ventilated screens at ground floor elevations, including the bin store, bike and scooter store, and pump house. The system combines vertical mullions and horizontal louvre blades, with fully sealed subheads and subsills to prevent water ingress.

Varsity Series® Rollformed Louvres and Doors provide secure, ventilated plant enclosures spanning multiple elevations and incorporate single and double access doors for functional accessibility.

Together, these systems provide ventilation, zero-vision screening, rain defence, and robust sun protection, ensuring that the building maintains both operational efficiency and aesthetic appeal in a high-use educational environment.
