Melbourne Grammar VIC

A bespoke, non-composite aluminium cassette cladding system.

When Melbourne Grammar approached Denton Corker Marshall Architects for the design of their new Science and Technology hub, they were focused entirely on creating a collaborative social space encouraging creativity and learning for their students.

The architectural firm channelled these elements into their design, creating this enormous

“innovative piece of architecture in both performance and appearance.”

Louvreclad’s Design Team worked closely with Denton Corker Marshall, translating the architect’s 3D model into a Louvreclad custom designed and engineered Cassette Cladding System.  KANE Construction were the awarded builder and assisted with the set out, keeping the project running smoothly while Eire Group controlled the install.

The undulating façade presented challenges along the journey for Louvreclad, with multiple radius’s, varying reveals and nearly 10,000 individually fabricated straight, folded and curved panels manufactured in our QLD factory, which were then packed and shipped to Victoria.

The sheer volume of panels that were produced while consistently sustaining high-end quality on this project is an absolute tribute to Louvreclad’s team, systems and values.

We are proud to have achieved the seamless and outstanding result that is standing today!
