St Ives North Public School, NSW

Louvreclad has collaborated with JDH architects on a number of schools over the years. Therefore, our team were naturally the façade contractors of choice when specifying the screening requirements for St Ives North Public School.

Extensively specified throughout the School facade were Barossa Series® vertical aluminium battens, integrated with Merlin Series® 450mm deep vertical elliptical sun blades.

While it was a fully specified project, it ran as a design and construct job with Richard Crookes managing the work as head contractors. Louvreclad Project Manager Darren White appreciated working with Richard Crookes Constructions site engineer, Kavi Samaranayake again, reporting; “We learnt lessons from Smalls Road Public School and got in early with design and coordination between ourselves and the steel contractor. This allowed the façade to be finished, scaffold stripped, with required cleats fixed to structure and clad ready for our custom designed brackets to be installed. At this point, the install was quick and easy, proving the value of design and coordination between builders and subcontractors in the early stages of construction.”
