Sunshine Hospital Multi Storey Carpark, VIC
How a dynamic façade can be crafted out of standard components
Burnt Orange custom vertical welded battens span over three levels of Sunshine Hospital’s new multi-level carpark, distinguishing this significant structure as an architectural icon in itself.
Silver Thomas Hanley Architects utilized a combination of powder coated aluminium ‘Z’ purlins and unequal angles for this screen design, spaced as needed to provide the required 50% free open area.
Kane Constructions then engaged Louvreclad’s team to further design and engineer the bespoke façade, working in partnership to ensure the screen was detailed correctly to meet the design intent.
The profiled aluminium screening spans from slab to slab, with a Dulux Autumn Orange Satin powder coat finish and concealed angle fixings backing on to the slab, providing a continuous vertical aesthetic.
Louvreclad enjoyed partnering with Kane to design, engineer, supply and install this bespoke façade, creating a standout result that proves how a dynamic façade can be crafted out of standard components.
Our team are excited to see the creativity being injected into the carpark architectural sector and look forward to bringing the next innovative concept to life!
