This project was set to shine from the very outset which Louvreclad confirmed with the initial gold anodised prototype presented to Degnan Construction. Gold glistens in the sun from all four sides of the building, which is covered in a perforated metal facade, creating an iconic symbol of architectural innovation. All 2480m2 and 1219 panels of perforated aluminium Polaris Series® screens were designed, engineered and manufactured in-house with our new state of the art machinery then shipped to site and installed by our experienced project team. Louvreclad’s ability to produce these panels in-house ensuring efficient quality controlled manufacturing and shorter lead times which met the project requirements.
Louvreclad’s install team then maintained efficiencies on site by utilizing machinery which enabled them to install 6-8 panels at one time. Louvreclad enjoyed teaming up with Degnan Construction to support this urban design cultural initiative and construct this landmark building. As part of the New M5 Public Art Strategy, we believe this new control centre can stand as a work of art in itself!
