Vertical Sunblades from the Caprice Series® adds character to the Geelong Cats Stadium
The $89 million, Simonds Stadium Stage 4 redevelopment at Kardinia Park, Geelong, will continue the transformation of the venue into Victoria’s third national multi-purpose stadium, strengthening the region as a sports hub and providing the infrastructure required to attract a range of nationally significant events including AFL, T20 Big Bash, NRL, Super 15 Rugby, A-League soccer and concerts.

, Louvreclad has been awarded the contract to design, manufacture, supply and install the following:
- Louvreclad Caprice Series® aluminium vertical sunblades
- Kensington Series® three-pass horizontal aluminium louvres
- Delta Series® single stage colorbond louvres
- Custom architectural Z purlins – Powdercoated Aluminium
- Jupiter Series® – Fixed Aluminium Louvre system
This complete package provides for all the external louvre and screen requirements which will add to the buildings overall aesthetics and increase building performance.
The Brownlow and Jennings stands will make way for a new grandstand, lifting the iconic stadium’s capacity to 36,000.The new stand will house new facilities including a large function room, media and broadcasting areas, football department facilities and a social club for patrons on match days.
The project is set for Practical Completion in mid-2017.
