Company Update – The New Covid Normal

Due to the upgraded measures implemented by the Australian Federal and State Governments to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Louvreclad would like to provide an update on our operations at this unprecedented time.
The Health and Safety of everyone is of upmost importance to our company and our team is taking this very seriously, actively putting control measures in place to provide maximum protection for all.
We are pleased to advise that Louvreclad has not been restricted from operating and we are continuing to monitor Government guidelines to ensure minimal disruption to our operations and supply chain.

Louvreclad’s Supply Chain:

• The majority of our products and systems are designed, engineered, and manufactured in our large facility in Bundamba, QLD. 100% Australian
• Colour coated steel louvres do not currently have any supply chain issues as BlueScope Steel is produced in Australia.
• Powder coating: Louvreclad’s in-house powder coating plant is fully operational and all Dulux Duratec and Interpon powder coatings are manufactured in Australia so there are no hold ups in this department.

While things are “not business as usual”, our QLD based facility continues to Design, Engineer, Manufacture and Install louvre and bespoke façade elements to ensure on-time project deliveries.

Our in-house ability for adaptive innovation and custom solutions at every stage; ensures we deliver your project to your timeline.
As the situation continues to evolve day by day, Louvreclad will continue to remain agile and adapt to ensure robust systems are implemented to mitigate risk and meet project requirements.
We believe communication is key in this situation, so please notify us if you believe there is any cause for change in operating conditions or delays to payments. If there is any way we can assist you in this difficult time, please reach out.

Significant Rise in Aluminium Costs

While most of our aluminium is produced and sourced locally some aluminium sheet is sourced from overseas suppliers which means there could be a 10-16 week lead time .
Alongside this, the aluminium London Metal Exchange (LME) Rate is rising daily and therefore the price of aluminium is on the rise.
Based on this, we will now be assessing our validity period on all proposals on a project by project basis. We would recommend confirming orders as soon as possible if you want to secure the current rate.

ISO9001, ISO14001 and AS4801 Certification

Louvreclad continue to deliver superior quality, safety and environmental standards which are backed by ISO9001, ISO14001 and AS4801 certification, comprehensive warranties and our specialist team.

ISO certification

The recent redevelopment of Roma Hospital with Watpac Construction called for performance louvres and bespoke architectural 3D perforated screens. Bernhard Hoessler from Jacobs Architects was the key façade designer on this new state of the art facility and began discussions with Louvreclad at early design stage.

Delivering world-class learning environments including façade solutions to existing school facilities instead of building anew.

The bespoke facade design called for a unique curved twin skin perforated aluminium screen system (Polaris Series®) with LED lights in between.

These visionary schools have utilised louvre packages including the Mirage Series, and Caprice Series sunscreens to create an efficient shading system.
