Otto Hirschfield Building
A Full Refurb using swaged louvres from the Mirage Series
Part of the University of Queensland St Lucia, the 8 storey Otto Hirschfield building underwent a complete façade refurbishment and upgrade. Louvreclad designed, manufactured and installed a major part of this $3M upgrade which included adding over 800m² of aluminium sunshade screens from the Mirage Series® to the exterior of the building. (Type: MSG-753-60 and MSG-753-90) This was specially powder coated in a custom, made-to-order powdercoat from the Interpon Range which blended in the with lush greenery surrounding the building.
The Mirage Series® is renown for providing excellent and uniform shading, which is especially ideal for commercial offices, thus making it an ideal choice.
It’s low maintenance and durability also guarantee a long lasting feature while ensuring sufficient ventilation to the building.

Most importantly, works were completed early, without any disruption to the existing biomedical laboratories, and with both the building occupants and client satisfied.
