High-strength plantroom screening and ventilation louvres
The connect Corporate Centre is made up of three buildings that include 40,000sqm of retail and office space and a 5-star hotel. Each building is distinct yet visually complimentary and work together to provide a contemporary and vibrant retail and office hub in a convenient location very close to Sydney Airport.
Louvreclad worked closely with Taylor Construction Group over the three stages of this project to install Delta Series® plant screening louvres, Scarborough Series® vertical fins and Nexus Series® ventilation louvres.
Delta was selected as a high-strength plantroom screening solution that offers good ventilation where necessary, blanked ‘Louvre-look’ elsewhere and high security.
As a roll formed product that can achieve maximum spans of 2.4m, the Delta Series also lends itself to quick and efficient installation whilst reducing structural steel requirements which works well for the projects program and budget constraints.
Carpark screening was provided using Scarborough Series® 20 x 200mm varied vertical aluminium fins. These were powder coated in Interpon Ultriva Ink Matt and installed in a unique irregular pattern. The installers had to execute a detailed set out for the 376 varied length extrusions to ensure the screen design matched WMK Architectures design intent.
On completion, the Scarborough screen adds a unique contemporary feature to the façade whilst also complimenting the vertical fins on the office buildings above.
The Nexus Series® Standard louvres were specified to provide continuous screening, ventilation and some rain defence to the ground floor pump and generator rooms. Louvreclad’s range of fixed louvres can also be made into custom louvre doors, which as you can see in this project, can easily be incorporated into the screen design.
